5.3.2010 Maltese artist Victor Agius will be exhibiting his latest series of abstracted paintings at the Galleria Mentana d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Florence. This Gallery promotes and shows works of both international emerging artists alongside with Italian masters such as Ugo Nespolo, Pino Pinelli and Mimo Rotella. ‘Luce – Colore – Anima’ is the theme of a collective exhibition which is being held in San Vitale in Cremona, Italy. The newly refurbished exhibition space at the San Anton Palace, has for the first time embraced a collective exhibition by Gozitan artists. 23.12.2008 Victor Agius will soon have his works exhibited at the Bricklane Gallery in London. The artist will exhibit a collection of five of his most recent works, which will form part of a collective exhibition. Two of the works exhibited are completely abstract paintings. However, the other three reflect better Agius most recent trends in which the human figure dominates the canvas. This exhibition was held at the Chamber of Commerce in Valletta and was organized by Rotaract Malta La Vallette and Assocjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes Club. This exhibition entitled ‘Inside Out’ is a manifesto of a collection of abstract panels in which the artist experimented with the concept of ‘objets-trouve’. 17.1.2008 On the 14th of January, the Maltese artist Victor Agius was awarded a prize entitled ‘Il Giglio di Firenze’ in Florence, Italy. The artist was chosen from amongst other Maltese artists to stand for Maltese art in an event organized by the Florentine entrepreneur Niccolo Ricci to promote Malta in Italy. 15.10.2007 For the second time the Ministry for Culture and Tourism is organizing the Notte Bianco in Valletta. The artist has been invited to exhibit his works in two art exhibitions forming part of this festival of art, music and culture. Agius is exhibiting four pieces of ceramic sculptures at the Galleria Liberta in South Street, Valletta and a portrait in a portrait exhibition held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Both these exhibitions are part of an artistic project named Sekwenza.
